‘’Anicca is a Pali word meaning impermanence. Buddhists believe that all things, including the self, are impermanent and constantly changing.’’
This series of sculptures highlighting the passing of time and the ephemeral nature of existence. For this reason the artist developed a way to use porcelain in the most temporary way possible. She achieves this with a technique she developed involving textiles applied with porcelain, which after firing results in a fragile paper thin ephemeral looking finish.
